THE HOME
Mason and Fifth is a co living space located in the Italian Building in Bermondsey. Its focus is on providing a space where where lifelong friendships can be formed, collaborators can come together, experiences can be shared, new ideas can be realised and a meaningful life can flourish.
The building offers a range of beautifully designed, fully equipped private studios apartments with a spacious shared living room, including fully equipped kitchen, for the entire home to use.
Located close to the River Thames, the Italian Building has been consciously created to strengthen communities and boost well-being from the inside out. Mason and Fifth sustainably re-purposed the classic Edwardian building for living in the 21st Century, collaborating with top architects and design teams to do so. The building features stunning, original period cast iron gates and green framed windows, up-cycled timber as well as a mix of vintage and modern furniture and decor.
The entrance hall is full of light and brimming with air purifying plants and features terrazzo flooring and vintage Murano chandelier, keeping the Italian spirit of the building alive.
Throughout the house you’ll find bespoke art created as part of the creative residency hosted by Mason and Fifth for emerging artists.
THE ROOMS
Each self contained apartment within the Italian Building is designed by Studio Clement. All are unique, fully furnished, small yet perfectly formed. Specific apartments for Inn Town guests will be dependant on availability at the time
The studios all include a bespoke linen bed with extra storage underneath, a Hypnos mattress and luxurious bedding. A kitchenette with Smeg appliances, hob, convertible microwave and oven, fridge/freezer, crockery, cutlery and utensils.
Each also include an en-suite bathroom with a waterfall shower, organic toiletries by L:A Bruket, dappled glass doors and crackle glaze tiles. Plush towels are included and changed weekly by the Mason and Fifth house management.
The entire space is designed to align with the Wellv2brand which is setting the standard for human health and sustainable building, without compromising on finish. Sustainable touches include, 100% natural cork flooring which is a great thermal and sound insulator, grasscloth wardrobes, reclaimed joinery and carbon water filter which is changed every 6 months.
THE AREA
Mason and Fifth is located in the Italian Building in Bermondsey, a lively and historic part of London. Close by are the food lovers Maltby Street Market and Bermondsey St, as well as historic sites including The Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Located close to The River Thames there are many great walks to explore the foreshore and head into town. There are many transport links within a few minutes from the building with buses being the most direct link. Bermondsey station and London Bridge station are a 10 minute walk from the home. It is a short 20 minute walk into the city and 35 minute walk to South Bank.
THE FLATMATES
You will always have your own studio apartment.
The building and common areas will be shared with Mason and Fifth members and tenants.
Mason and Fifth encourages tenants to mingle and collaborate as much or as little as they feel!

Mason and Fifth’s team speak English and may speak other languages as well. Other guests in the building and their nationalities will vary each stay.
